This latest walk was a real change of pace. Normally when we do these walks, I generally bring both a digital and film camera to play around with. This shoot had an extra element of filming video added. My friend Boo helped me pick up a GoPro. The world of video is entirely new to me, so bear with me on these early videos until I get a bit more comfortable with the whole process.
As if I didn’t stand out enough with the giant man purse and cameras, now I’ll have this camera attached to my head.
The walk started off at the Hawaii Theatre, right outside of Chinatown.
Our model for the day was a friend named Mari. She’s from Japan and currently attending college on Oahu.
The weather has been muggy so the shoot took a detour to a nearby cafe. The lighting worked out great for some photos while we enjoyed our drinks.
Even though we were “taking a break,” Mari still posed for me with her iced coffee.
Mari reviewed the photos from the other photographer, Eric.
That was about it for the walk.
If you would like to check out the video, it will be at the end of this blog.
