Fuji XT1 at the Beach

A lot of my time has been spent trying to catch up with editing, unfortunately that means I don’t get to have as much fun shoots as I would like.  The positive side of all this is that I can afford this Fuji.

I managed to hang out with a few friends I haven’t seen in a while, during this time i got to play around with the XT1 a bit more.  The weather was perfect for the beach and we stayed until the lights of Waikiki showed up as bokeh.  Focusing was solid with this camera, even as it got pretty dark.  The only problem I had was due to user error of not paying attention to my shutter speed in Aperture priority mode.   If I had been paying attention to the slow shutter, I could have easily upped the ISO since most of my photos were around 200-400. Unfortunately that didn’t happen so I ended up with a lot of blurry images.

I was very lucky to have such cute test subjects.
