Film Developing

I can’t believe I haven’t developed film since 2001.  Such a waste of life by not staying with photography all the way.  Ever since I picked film photography back up, I have been taking my rolls to the local film labs.  I recently started to gather the items necessary to keep all of that work at home, ranging from a bulk roll of Ilford HP5 film to a negative scanner. All of the necessary items have not been collected, but I managed to use a friends setup to get a jump start.

It was definitely more time consuming than I had remembered, I hogged the sink the whole night and m friend was unable to get anything done.  I’m looking forward to starting this project on my own and hope to eventually tackle color film.

The image above suffered from a strong crease due to my bad technique for loading the roll onto the spool.  Hope I won’t have to sacrifice too many photos till I get that process down.
