Picked up the Nikkor 35mm f1.8 to have a nice walk around lens for the Nikon D750. At the moment I’m not ready to drop the loads on the higher end f1.4 line that Nikon has available. This lens is totally capable of getting the job done for a budget price. I’ve had several casual outings paired with the 85mm f1.8 when I needed a bit more of a portrait focal length. I’ve used the 35mm f2 for a minute and this is a nice step up for a couple hundred more when buying brand new. I don’t have too much experience on the Nikon compared to the other brands I use, but the focus seemed sharp and on point. Bokeh wasn’t bad either, I would prefer the extra bit you could get from the 1.4 at night, but it still had some creamy blur going on during the day. I’m usually shooting wide open at all times if I can help it.
